Shopping in AZ

Well, a trip to Sedona wouldn’t be complete without one of my favorite things - shopping! This beautiful place is loaded with stores. To capture all of the shopping that Sedona offers, you would really need to spend at least 5 full days hitting all the shops!
If you only have a few hours, my favorite Sedona shopping destination happens to be the outlet mall. It has all the typical designer stores and typical outlet pricing that you find in other cities, but you still have the gorgeous red rock as a back drop outside the stores! And, just like other outlet malls, you need to watch what you are buying. Most stores have a no return or 14-day return policy.
There are a lot of Native American craft and jewelry shops in Sedona. I found these stores interesting to go into and browse; however, I wasn’t personally interested in purchasing anything. The style just doesn’t fit my Midwestern roots and décor! I did appreciate the craftsmanship and the pride that the Native Americans take in their work.
And, of course, you can wander into many stereotypical tourist shops that are full of tee shirts, hand-made crafts, and Sedona souvenirs. You will also find a lot of silver jewelry, semi-precious stones, and resort ware in the shops. What you won’t find - a bargain! Expect to pay higher prices than you would in many other places outside of Sedona.
Nonetheless, it is well worth it to just wander into the unique stores and really experience the flavor of Sedona from local vendors. Just make sure you have on your walking shoes!
