My name is Kathy Dining and I will be finding top restaurants around our "area of the week." This week we will be researching Colorado. I will be looking at a couple of different (insert)
For my first restaurant I did some research on a restaurant called City O' City. You may also find the same restaurant called Watercourse Foods or Watercourse Bakery. All three of these locations are found in Denver, Colorado. These are strictly vegetarian restaurants. Cit O' City is a down-tempo coffee house and bar that serves thin-crust vegetarian and vegan pizzas. Watercourse Foods has a wide assortment of food varying from carefree eggs and scrambled tofu to specialty sandwiches to full entrees. This is the place to go if you want breakfast at dinner time or dinner at breakfast time. These restaurants also own their own bakery which is located on 13th Avenue that has only vegetarian, vegan and wheat-free baked goods. They prepare fresh ingredients daily to create a comfortable atmosphere to draw in customers with a friendly staff to serve the reasonably priced food.
I also found a restaurant called Craftwood Inn. They serve a variety of options from elk, antelope, ostrich, duck, steaks, seafood, and vegetarian. They also have private dining areas for banquets weddings, and receptions. However, they do recommend that you call ahead and make reservation. They also have a outdoor patio for extra seating. Now this is one of the more expensive places. Entrees range from $20-$50. This restaurant has amazing breathtaking views of Pikes Peak. When the restaurant renovated in the summer of 1988, their was a private attic found that was behind a door that looked very similar to a wall. They found many artifacts from the past revealing a rich culture and artistic heritage. They found engravings, old photographic plates, metal works, and a mirror all of these things reflected a time in Colorado that nobody knew about.
