Don't forget about Broadway!

When planning a vacation to New York, try not to pass up the opportunity to see a Broadway performance! They are perfect for a family activity because they entertain children and parents. Keep in mind, a “family friendly show” recommends that the children are at least 6 years old because it is important they do not disrupt the rest of the audience. I’ve researched a few of the best family friendly shows that are recommended to see. Take into account that there are plays constantly coming and going, so remember to check out what is going on the exact dates that you will be there. The most recent popular show is Hairspray. It is a family friendly show that displays fun and bright colored sets along with catchy tunes that will capture audiences of children and adults. Wicked is another hot show right now on Broadway. It is a musical based on the movie The Wizard of Oz but from the Wicked Witch of the West’s prospective. It has a much happier and light hearted twist to it than the movie did along with great music and performances throughout it. This show would be great for the family! I can tell you from personal experience that it was an amazing performance in Chicago… the one in New York will be even better. The Blue Man Group: Tubes is another performance that is based off of three silent men that perform hilarious skits. This comical show will attract families of children, teens, and adults. The performance in Chicago was amazing... again, it is probably even better in New York!
